MBABANE – An amount of E19 600 was donated by 8Bet, in support of the Voice of the Church (VOC) Half Marathon, which is set to take place next month.
The donation was made today (April 9, 2024) at the 8Bet offices in Mbabane. The half marathon is set to take place on May 4, 2024 at Zakhele Sports Ground in Manzini. The VOC officials present at the event were happy to receive the donation.
VOC National Director Bishop Zachariah Mthethwa said the VOC strived to cover the whole person, both spiritually and physically. He said the Manzini-based radio station recognised the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and soul, and sought to address the needs of each area in a holistic manner.
During the donation ceremony, Mthethwa expressed his gratitude to 8Bet for their generosity and support. He spoke about the station’s mandate to cover the whole person – both spiritually and physically – and encouraged other companies to follow 8Bet’s example and partner with VOC. He emphasised the importance of donations in helping the station continue its mission of uplifting and empowering the community.
8Bet Operations Officer Sydney Ginindza expressed his excitement about being a part of the VOC project and encouraged the station to continue engaging with 8Bet on future charitable initiatives. He explained that giving back to the community was a core value of 8Bet, and the organisation was committed to making a positive impact in the world.
