When reached for comment, he said, “Poetry lovers, get your ears and souls ready as one of the highly anticipated poetry shows, War Words, is happening next month, hosted by Optimistic Generation Forever (OGF) events. The number four implies that this is the fourth show of War Words being hosted, and as the number increases, the show gets better and better in terms of content, the ambiance, and the poets involved, said the director.

According to Mabaso, each show hosts one headliner who performs for almost an hour, addressing different issues affecting society, including gender-based violence (GBV), spirituality, love, and peace. The host is accompanied by a few supporting poets to spice up the event and dish out the best sets to poetry lovers.

The first poetry show was headlined by Anthonimass; the second one was by Smismi; and the previous one was hosted by the talented MoCats.

“We are still to reveal the headliner by the end of this week, and the public, especially the poetry lover, should be on the lookout for a mind-blowing line-up,” said Director Poet Anthonimass. Tickets will be available next week on Tuesday, and their station is Perfume Huts Mbabane and Manzini at E130.

He went on to add, “What is interesting about this one is that we also have an upcoming poet from South Africa who will be part of the supporting poets for the upcoming one. The OGF events apply high standards to poetry shows. We promise nothing but the best poetry show that the audience will ever get a taste of. There will also be a win-ticket competition on our page (War Words Poetry Show),” shared Mabaso.
