MBABANE – With their heads down following a crippling 5-0 defeat at the hands of cross-city rivals Denver Sundowns, Manzini Wanderers captain Mlamuli ‘Mlaba’ Nkambule says facing Mbabane Swallows gives them the perfect opportunity for redemption.

The former Mbabane Highlanders midfielder adds that no motivation is needed when the team faces Swallows and that the game came at the right time.

“Unfortunately we lost with a big score-line in the last game but it is a blessing that we have a big game against a team like Swallows coming up which means the spirits will definitely be high. In our situation, defeat will not be in our favor. Yes, Swallows are in good form, they are getting results but the focus is on winning the game,” he said ahead of Sunday’s clash with the title-chasing side.

His Swallows counterpart Tony Tsabedze said they will not be deceived by Wanderers form or position on the log standings. “It remains a tough game regardless of their position and their last result. The coach has been motivating us and he has worked with most of the players at the different national team levels. His arrival on the team was some sort of continuity. As a team, we are still going to play those in front of us on the log but we are taking each game as it comes and total focus is on the Wanderers game,” the former Sihlangu skipper said as he downplayed his side’s chances on the MTN Premier League title.
