MBABANE – The Eswatini Kombi’s and Buses Allied Workers’ Union has confirmed that they are ready to take the public to the polling stations this weekend.

The Eswatini National Primary Elections are to be held this weekend at designated polling stations around the country, as announced by the Eswatini Elections and Boundaries Commission.

Speaking to the media today, EKABAWU Communications Officers William Fakudze confirmed that their members are ready to safely transport voters to polling stations this weekend.

“As an organisation, we promote the safety of people because that shows the livelihood of our nation. Our work has a risk element, where even your own life is at risk as you are transporting people. So, we encourage everyone to stay safe, which is something we usually preach to our members,” said Fakudze.

“On Saturday when we are going to the elections, we expect that all vehicles should be ferrying the public. We also expect our members to adhere to the law, such as making sure that there are no overloads,” added Fakudze.

Manzini Public Transport marshal at the bus rank, Themba Dlamini, confirmed that they have been emphasising the importance of the upcoming day this saturday.

“We are very ready for the important day on Saturday. We also promise that transportation will be available, and we encourage Emaswati to come out in their numbers to build their Government,” said Dlamini.
