MBABANE – “As we celebrate Customer Service Week 2022, we celebrate you, our valued customer. We celebrate your loyalty and feedback, which continues to shape our service delivery to you.”
These were the words of MTN Eswatini CEO Wandile Mtshali when honouring MTN customers today. His statement joins a wave of gratitude and celebration directed towards customers by businesses this week, as it is Customer Service Week.
Customer Service Week is celebrated annually during the first full week in October when customer-oriented organizations and institutions around the world recognize the importance of customer service excellence to their organizations.
Other businesses which have acknowledged the week in one way or another include the Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC), the The Construction Industry Council (CIC), the Municipal Council of Mbabane, Happy Valley Hotel, Eswatini Revenue Services, Eswatini Standards Authority (SWASA),
Some businesses are honouring their clients with gifts this week. This morning, the first client at the Small Enterprise Development Company (SEDCO) was presented with a hamper by SEDCO Senior Manager of Strategy and Organisational Performance, Themba Dlamini.
Other businesses are ensuring that all members of the organisation have direct contact with the customers. This was witnessed at the Municipal Council of Mbabane where the CEO Gideon Mhlongo kicked off the week by manning the reception desk yesterday.
Other businesses, like United Holdings, opted to reward the staff members who receive the most positive feedback from customers in terms of customer service.
More events and activities are expected to happen this week in honour of Customer Service Week.

SEDCO: “This week SEDCO joins the rest of the world in commemorating Customer Service Week. This special week we get to celebrate and honour our customers and our amazing staff that serve them.
To kickstart this week’s activities, our Senior Manager- Strategy and Organisational Performance Mr Themba Dlamini spent the morning at our head office reception attending to calls and walk-in clients. Our first client for the day won himself a hamper!
