MBABANE – When Women Worship yesterday announced that they would be hosting an artist audition on March 2 at Manzini Library Hall.
When Women Worship is a group of dedicated artists serving in different denominations in Eswatini.
The auditions will begin at 1pm and run until 4pm. When reached for comment, Phiwe Mabuza shared that their target is potential recording artists who must be born-again Christians. She said, “Ladies in song, we bring you an opportunity of a lifetime to minister beyond your limits. Let us channel you to what you long waited for,” said Mabuza.
She went on to add: “We have a component of grooming artists in worship, a gospel ensemble of gifted and anointed ministers in song. This is a 2014 initiative that aims to encourage women to work in collaboration and promotes the establishment of strong support systems for each to reach their full potential.”
Their motto is stepping out beyond limitation. “Psalm 24 says who shall ascend to the hill of the Lord, to stand in the holy place, with clean hands and a pure heart? Those are the kinds of ladies that we seek who would have the zeal to ascend and be set apart for God’s purpose,” Mabuza said.
According to Mabuza, they have successfully produced three CDs and videos of specific songs that respectively reached beyond their set imaginations, and their music is played in international forums, including Trace Gospel and One Gospel.
She further said: “Even now we invite the ladies in ministry to come and explore an opportunity to penetrate the stonewall of the day and error to reach out to humanity. We are going to be at the Manzini Library at 13:00 sharp for auditions.”
She also shared with this publication that there was a need to strengthen the team that they currently have and aim for something greater and better than the previous work done.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first time the women’s organisation has opened up for auditions. Otherwise, all along, they have headhunted artists.
“The slogan says if you want to reach where you have never been, do what you have never done before. We aim to be better and more strengthened in our daily lives, just as with all the work of our hands. He is an excellent God, and so should it be with all that we touch. Looking forward to all hidden talent being unveiled,” said Mabuza.
