MBABANE- Former South African President Jacob Zuma reminded emaSwati that whenever there are internal conflicts within a society, the King is the mostly affected person.

He said this on Saturday during the 2023 opening year National Prayer Service held at Mandvulo Grand Hall at Lozitha Palace. His Majesty King Mswati III hosted the services and in attendance was the royal family, His Excellency Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini, Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku, ministers, pastors from different denominations, and some members of the public.

During his deliberation, Zuma said he was greatly touched by the day’s sermons because the men of God have spoken about dissatisfaction among emaSwati thus were asking God to be considerate to the nation. He said the men of God emphasised on unity within the nation.

The Former President further said he did not wish Eswatini to fall into the same trench that South Africa experienced in the past- pleading with all emaSwati to work toward finding a lasting solution and live in peace as a nation that has been known as a peace and loving nation.

Zuma encouraged emaSwati to engage in dialogue swiftly to avoid further conflict and loss of lives within the peace-loving nation. In essence, Zuma asked church leaders to unite and discuss these issues and ensure they find reconciliation and peace among the nation.

His Majesty King Mswati III assured emaSwati that guns will be silenced in the Kingdom of Eswatini and in Africa at large, emphasizing that time has come for the nation to return back to God. Moreover, he assured the nation that the turnaround is coming to Eswatini.
