MBABANE – Attending to your health while having fun.
Women will receive free counselling, HIV testing and breast cancer screening at the Doek and Jeans Festival to be staged at the Greyhound Hall in Ezulwini on November 12.
According to Cassie Xaba, Eswatini’s festival coordinator, Doek and Jeans is a South African Ladies Picnic initiative that started in 2021 and aims on the upliftment of women and children.
“We will be providing free counselling for women who have survived abuse, business mentorship, HIV testing as well as cancer screening for women at the event,” said Xaba.
Xaba mentioned that the festival had a following of over 21 000 women and it will allow women during the festival to show case their art and market their brands.
“We allow all sorts of businesses to come exhibit their brands on the day such as food, accessories, local wine, photography, clothing and massage parlors,” said Xaba.
Xaba mentioned that there will be musical performances on the day by Nokwazi, Young Zesh, A2Z Fusion, Mabrino Drum Boyz, Lady GP, DJ Pooe, DJ Pruluv and many more.
“We gladly accept women to come to the festival with their children and we have a list of fun activities for them as well,” said Xaba.
