MBABANE – World Vision Eswatini (WVE) has joined forces with Hilton Garden Inn to tackle the pervasive issue of sex trafficking.

As posted in World Vision’s official page on Facebook, WVE campaign ambassador, Mbongiseni “Bholoja” Ngubane, took centre stage in raising awareness and educating Hilton Garden Inn employees about the importance of reporting any suspicions related to sex trafficking in their working environment.

Traffickers often target vulnerable communities, particularly orphaned girls, subjecting them to unimaginable exploitation in Eswatini and South Africa. Recognizing the urgent need to combat this criminal enterprise, WVE and Hilton Garden Inn have taken proactive steps to protect potential victims and disrupt the trafficking networks.
Bholoja engaged Hilton Garden Inn employees, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to identify signs of sex trafficking and promptly report any suspicions.

This collaborative effort sends a powerful message that businesses have a crucial role to play in the fight against sex trafficking. By actively engaging their employees, hotels and other businesses can become front-line defenders of vulnerable individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Child sex Trafficking is a form of child abuse that occurs when a child under 18 is advertised, solicited or exploited through a commercial sex act.
