World Vision Eswatini has done it again and assisted the Siphungweni Community by funding a water project in the area. This project amounted to E690 000 through the Madlangempisi Area Programme (AP).
This was announced in a statement from World Vision Eswatini’s official social media platform (Facebook).
Prior to the water project, World Vision Eswatini stated that the people in the area were greatly affected by the lack of water as women and children had to travel long distances carrying heavy vessels to get water. The project has benefitted 49 households in the community as they are now able to access clean water within the area where they are.
This has left the residents of the area feeling grateful as they have witnessed their hard work and union to complete this project paying off.
Thembelihle Magagula, the secretary of the Siphungweni water project, said that the project took a short time to finish because of the community coming together.
This project took shorter than expected time because more people showed up to work. Before the project was introduced in the community, few people would come to work,” said Magagula, as quoted in a statement by World Vision on their Facebook page.
Disruptions and frustrations may have brewed due to lack of participation of community member in the beginning stages of the project, but with time more people participated seeing the project to its completion.
Efforts to get comment from World Vision Eswatini proved to be futile by the time this article was being compiled at 4:30pm.
