WORLD VISION LAUNCHES TRANSFORMATIVE PROGRAM IN NTONDOZI CONSTITUENCIES

MBABANE – World Vision is initiating a comprehensive program aimed at bringing about positive changes in Ntondozi. 12,000 children under the Ntondozi constituencies are to benefit the 13-year initiative.

World Vision is setting up a shop in the area.

The Communications Officer for World Vision Lungile Zwane, said, “Around child protection we found that the incidence of sexual violence against children and this is even happening in schools. We also found that birth registration is an issue, we found a number of children are not registered. We are hoping that we’ll be able to bring some transformation to these communities ensuring that access to water, we are also focusing on the water sanitation and hygiene child protection and also health”.

Lungile Zwane spoke on the organization’s commitment to collaborating with government entities to implement various initiatives.

Community members within Ntondozi conveyed their reactions to World Vision on this initiative in an interview with Eswatini TV.

“Some of us cannot afford to pay school fees for our children due to poverty, World Vision promised to help us in that regard,” said one of the residents.

“They are coming with great programs such as vocational training to assist our youth,” said one of the residents.

The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly goals one to six, with the aim of contributing to Eswatini’s progress toward achieving these goals by the year 2030.
