MBABANE – World Vision Eswatini held a partnership meeting with the Interdenominational Pastors Fellowship at Sibane Hotel yesterday, addressing child-wellbeing.
The meeting focused on the importance of collaboration between influential church leaders and organisations to address pressing issues such as child hunger and sexual violence against children. The partners shared their perspectives and experiences in tackling these issues, and discussed ways to collaborate and make a positive impact in the community.
The focus was on child well-being and the issues of sexual violence and child hunger are essential, as they have a direct impact on the ability of children to thrive and reach their full potential. It is stated that Sexual violence is a violation of a child’s safety and dignity, and it can have long-term consequences for their mental and physical health. Similarly, child hunger deprives children of the nutrition and energy they need to develop and grow into healthy adults. These issues are therefore critical to address in order to ensure the well-being.
World Vision Eswatini believes that by engaging church leaders, who are respected voices in their communities, it can inspire collective action to improve child well-being. Together, with the support of church leaders, World Vision aims to create a world where every child is protected from violence and has access to the nutrition they need to thrive. Through these efforts, the organization hopes to ensure that every child has their rights upheld and is able to reach their full potential.
