MBABANE– “Trust is our most valuable achievement.”
These were the words of Tisitano Ambassador Lindani Mabuza when asked about how the marketplace application has become the first of its kind to have over 19 000 users in Eswatini.
Mabuza first mentioned the achievement on the most recent edition of the Eswatini Diary weekly newsletter. Responding to Eswatini Positive News about the online marketplace and its achievements to date, Mabuza revealed that it took them two years to meet this milestone.
“In about two years, more than 19 000 emaSwati joined Tisitano and started to buy and sell. We are grateful to have such a great and supportive community around us. We love this sense of cooperation and trust,” said Mabuza.
“Trust is our most valuable achievement. To guarantee the safety of both buyers and sellers, Tisitano monitors the products and users closely. Creating a safe environment for users is an essential issue for Tisitano,” emphasised Mabuza.
Asked on how Tisitano has made the platform appealing and valuable to emaSwati, such that so many people are using it, Mabuza responded by sharing the company’s beliefs.
“Tisitano believes that individuals and all businesses, small and large, should have an equal chance to benefit from using the Internet and grow their business by reaching more people,” said Mabuza.
“Everyone is welcome to advertise their products on Tisitano for free and have their Online Shop. People use Tisitano to buy and sell clothes, cars, digital devices, furniture, properties and lands, livestock, and many other items. You can find all kinds of goods and services on Tisitano,” said Mabuza, adding that this powerful and well-developed app has helped many emaSwati to improve their businesses financially.
Speaking on the next milestones for Tisitano, Mabuza revealed that they want everyone to have the chance to buy and sell easily and for free.
“That is Tisitano’s main goal. We are working hard to make it possible for local businesses, women, large businesses, home businesses, and individuals to reach out to more people and increase their sales. Buyers will also benefit from the wide variety of available products at more affordable prices,” said Mabuza.
He further revealed the feature they are very excited about is the payment and delivery systems on Tisitano. The goal of this is to make it easy for users to pay and receive their orders using the app.
Mabuza encouraged emaSwati to use the app to augment their streams of income, as Tisitano helps to fight the effects of unemployment in Eswatini.
“Whether you own a small shop or have a home business, it’s your chance to create your online shop on Tisitano for free and sell new or second-hand products and services. Business owners can also post their products and services daily on Tisitano,” added Mabuza.
