MBABANE– Only the sky is the limit for Eswatini award winning comedian Sbusiso Ngwenya as he has been listed among top five Tik Tokers to watch out for in 2023.
This was a list compiled by a reputable South African magazine ‘Zalebs’ in their last issue of the year, issue number 32.
Sbu was named among other four Tik Tokers as the face to look out for in 2023, it was further mentioned that local comedian was one to look out for.
“This one is our favourite and his content has always been clean and entertaining, Sbu the Comedian is one face to look out for and we cannot wait for his content in 2023,” read part of the article.
Worth noting is that Sbu was the first liSwati to reach a million views on Tik Tok, this was on a video he posted late last year. This was a video emanating from pastors when praying for demons.
Tik Tok has not always technically been called TikTok. In 2017, there was an app called ‘Musical.ly’ and became the TikTok around 2019. Since then, it has blown up and has millions of users around the world. Not just for dances and music anymore, it is now a platform for people to make funny and creative videos too.
Meanwhile hardly three years in the game, is Sbu the Comedian making a name for himself on social media. He went on to add that he was excited about the ever growing following he has received throughout the lockdown periods and said it encouraged him to do more content for every comedy lover out there.
“I remember last year, one of my videos about how pastors react when served with tea got 207 000 views on Facebook. I’m really encouraged by such, and I hope people will support us when we host live comedy shows once everything is back to normal. Being in the top five Tik Tok accounts to look out for is also humbling and makes me work hard,” he said.
