MBABANE – His Majesty King Mswati III is back from his state visit to Zambia.
The King also got a chance to unpack his state visit, where he shared that his state visit to Zambia has seen the bilateral relations between the two countries being strengthened further in various sectors, including security.
The King further revealed that the two countries signed about nine Memorandums of Understanding (MoU), which have strengthened bilateral relations between the two countries.
Worth mentioning is that the nine agreements are meant to encourage cooperation between the two countries and their governments would have to meet now and then to analyse the MoUs and their implementations.
“During the reviews, more agreements will be signed, as the need arises, in order to close gaps here and there,” the King said.
On another note, he said the Government of Zambia gave them a warm welcome and they visited a number of impressive sectors. He highlighted that the sectors included Industrial Zone and Tourism facilities in Zambezi, where Victoria Falls is located.
Moreover, he said they got an opportunity to meet emaSwati students who were studying in Zambia – mainly health-related courses. One of the agreements that were signed was for the establishment of a Joint Permanent Commission on Defence and Security between the government of the Kingdom of Eswatini and that of Zambia.
