MBABANE– ‘Theatre for the people, by the people’.

Presented by Twilight Theatre Concepts, the above-mentioned theatrical show will be brought by Zimbabwean actor Zenzo Nyathi and it is slated for the event set for June 23 and June 24, 2023.

The play is about a rain diviner who is forced to look not only to ancient traditions but also, to the future to try to come to terms with his own personal misfortunes and the natural disasters of droughts and floods. Told through a zestful mix of storytelling, mime, dance and song, the one-hander play adventurously interrogates the role that traditional knowledge systems and science play in a fast-changing world and in climate change intervention.

When sought for comment, Nyathi said he was ecstatic to bring his show to the country for the first time.

“I’m over excited to bring the show to the Kingdom of Eswatini. It will be my first time to perform there though I have been to Eswatini before so it makes the performances special,” Nyathi said.

When asked about the state of preparations, the actor said so far so good stating that he was getting in shape physically and mentally preparing.

“I am bringing my fire to Eswatini,” he said.
