MBABANE- Eswatini talent is becoming one of the most sought-after internationally.

Khabo Leburu, also known as ‘The one man band’, a Zimbabwean artist, has also proven that Eswatini artists are talented by partnering with them in pursuit to grow in his trade.

Leburu plays a guitar and harmonica at the same time, with vocals in between and has been working along with emaSwati artists who have provided growth in the music industry.

When interviewed by the Entertainment Desk on his art taking shape in Eswatini, he said he came into the Kingdom at the end of February this year and he found that the artists were amazing performers and were very diverse in terms of arts and skill and he had gotten a lot of positive response from emaSwati after performances.

“I play acoustic guitar, diatonic harmonica and I sing as well.  I was the opening act for Sands Ladies Night show recently. I have also collaborated with poet Letsiwe Mabuza and also local group Bantu The People,” he said.

“I intend to share and collaborate with other local artists both on stage and in recording. Also, I am intending on doing master classes where I would be able to impart my skills with emaSwati artists,” said Leburu.

Leburu further said that he wrote, arranged and sang his songs in a number of languages including Setswana, Swahili, English, German, French, Chichewa, Bemba, Sesarwa, Spanish and recently added SiSwati to his vocabulary.

The versatile artist also said that he saw Eswatini possibly as his launch pad as the country had a more vibrant arts industry than all countries he had been to.
