Mbabane-“Eswatini is too busy now that the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted”. These were the words shared by Mega Sound Picnic Organiser Samkelo ‘Zulu D’ Zulu.

Artists and organisers have grabbed the bull by the horns when it comes to the entertainment sector because a lot of people needed to recover from the covid restrictions, which for most meant their livelihoods.

“I am very happy with the easing of COVID-19 as well as EmaSwati’s response to the entertainment Industry. However the Competition is very high right now because the entertainment industry is flooded with shows weekend after weekend. As an organiser this is the first time I have seen so many shows happening everywhere at once,” said Zulu.

“It is survival of the fittest right now and we always survive because we have a loyal fan base. We have Mega Lounge where people come and relax, listen to djs and have beverages, and these are the same people who make it easier to market events as they always come to the lounge and they share our events with others,” added Zulu.

Mega Sound Picnic will be having its seventh installation at the Prince of whales Stadium on Saturday and Zulu mentioned that as an organiser you had to choose your venue vey wisely.

“With the high competition, it is important to choose a venue that does not provide the services you provide like sound, artists and even alcoholic beverages so that you get more out. Only reviews from events will now attract people to events, at the rate of shows being hosted all weekends”, said Zulu.
