BI Phakathi, a selfless man who is praised and adored all over Africa and is widely known as Secret Santa for his work, has changed the lives of a family of 17 siblings in Eswatini by assisting them with food groceries and later paid the bill to have their compound connected with electricity.
It all started when Phakathi, in his visit to the kingdom of Eswatini, met a needy young boy from a Simelane family whom he found in Matsapha trying to raise money for the family.
Touched by the boy’s story, Phakathi gave him money and promised that he would return to meet with the family.
Known for his charitable work that has helped changed the lives of many people in South Africa and Eswatini, Phakathi honoured his promise last week and visited the Simelane family, changing their lives for better – thanks to God.
The God-sent servant met and recorded a video showing what transpired during his visit to the Simelane family of 17 who live in the same house.
According to the family, the house was built by the late gospel singer Sifiso Ncwane. It was wired but unfortunately it was not connected with electricity due to insufficient funds.
For the connection, the family disclosed that they needed a E9 000 connection fee that would be paid at Eswatini Electricity Company.
It was during Phakathi’s visit that the family prayed for assistance to have electricity. The father of the house mentioned that they had a lot of electrical tools which they can use to generate an income but the tools are unutilised because of not having electricity.
At first Phakathi went shopping with his ‘young’ friend whom he also bought clothes for. In a trending video, the youngster told Phakathi that he never had clothes before.
What also became touching is that the family held a prayer session with Phakathi, celebrating what God had done in bringing a ‘Secret Santa’.
After the prayer, Phakathi announced a gift of over E15 000 where E9000 will be paid to the Eswatini Electricity Company as connection fee for electricity. He then gave the balance to the family.
This is not the first time Phakathi helped needy families in Eswatini. God bless him.
