MBABANE – Shocking pricing!
The Black Friday frenzy at the Mbabane Municipal Market has got bend-and-pick vendors charging items from as little as E5.
They disclosed this during an independent interview by this reporter, whose mission was to gather what vendors at the above-mentioned location were offering.
Dobhaphansi vendors, who are known to sell low priced second-hand clothes, said they were further cutting down their prices.
Sibhekile Sibanyoni, who is one of the vendors selling the second-hand clothes, said most of them were already selling T-shirts at E5.
“We will have a Black Friday which will crossover to the rest of December. We are aware the festive season has commenced hence we will try to keep our prices low from not until the end of December.
“This will help us attract more customers and possibly maintain them,” said Sibanyoni.
When asked if they would make profits after slashing the already low prices, she said they would just break even, however, stating that this was for the greater good.
“We cannot ignore what the world doing simply because we are vendors. We have to move with the times,” she said.
