MALINDZA – A tipper-truck and a tractor has been officially handed over to the Mdumezulu Grain &Veg investment and Liphupho Letfu Multipurpose under the Dvokodveni Inkhundla in the Lubombo Region.
These machineries add to the over 25 projects that have been launched under the Dvokodvweni Inkhundla since the year 2015. The tipper truck, which belongs to the Liphupho Letfu Multipurpose, costs E1 705 519.08 and the members contributed E295 528.00 towards their project realisation. Chairperson of this association Phinda Mlambo expressed his gratitude to the Government in assisting them through the Regional Development Fund (RDF).
“The process towards our project realisation was not a hard one to accomplish. It just needs one to follow it through until their dreams are fulfilled. I am urging Emaswati and fellow community members to also do the same,” he said.
For the Mdumezulu Grain & Veg, the members contributed E324 000 towards the purchase of their tractor which costs E 1 488 686.27. Sibekwele Shongwe, who is one of the 10 members of the association highlighted that their wish is to grow as a business and employ more people especially the youth of Mdumezulu.
The event was graced by the Minister for Tinkhundla Administration and Development Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, Member of Parliament (MP) of the Dvokodvweni Inkhundla, Sfiso Heizo Shabalala, and the portfolio committee.
