According to Eswatini TV’s Webmaster Gcina Mamba, “The data shows that Eswatini and the world at large are enthusiastic about cultural content – which is content about our culture and how we live. This shows you that people want to know how we live as Eswatini. There are also current affairs programmes which show us that people want to what’s happening in the country.”

The top five countries which watch Eswatini TV content on YouTube are Eswatini, South Africa, India, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

According to Mamba, the most active local viewers of the Eswatini TV YouTube channel come from Manzini, followed by Mbabane, which is closely followed by Matsapha and Kwaluseni. Other cities that featured on the top 10 locations from where the channel is viewed include Pretoria, Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town among others.

Eswatini TV’s digital migration began about a decade ago, and the initiative has given birth to the YouTube Channel and the Eswatini TV app among other things. Mamba noted that the introduction of digital spaces is helping viewers access Eswatini TV content on the go at any time which increases engagement with the channel’s content.
