MBABANE – The Municipal Council of Mbabane launched Half Marathon and Mbabane Day yesterday in a press conference at the municipal council offices in Mbabane.
According to Vusi Tembe, the Mayor of Mbabane, the marathon registration will open on the 13th of September and close on 23 November 2023.
The main event will be held on 25 November. The mayor said that the registration fee for 21KM will be E85 and E60 for 10KM. Athletes participating in the 5KM run are required to register and they will not pay any registration fee. The council also urged those who would like to sponsor or partner with them for the event to contact them at citycouncil@mbacity.org.sz.
Stalls are invited but more information will be shared in due course.
Families and groups of athletes are welcome for registration. Once the Half Marathon is completed, the Mbabane Day commences with fun-filled games, sporting games, and entertainment activities. These activities are not limited to Mbabane residents only but the Swati nation at large is invited.
