…. Others aim at taking home over E20 000

BY DELISA THWALA MBABANE – What an amazing time to be a vendor or merchant.

Local vendors have expressed their happiness and interest at the currently ongoing national events that will come to an end mid-September.

Some of the vendors mentioned that there were huge opportunities to make money at the different events.

The first one being Umhlanga, Bawinile Sikhondze said she had stalls at the upcoming trade fair, one is already operating and will be also operating during the double celebration.

“If you are a vendor, you have seen the big opportunity to get into business. To all the women please stock up and come sell,” said Sikhondze.

In an interview with one of the vendors, Nomsa Maphanga, she said she was impressed by the number of people who came for the events.

“I am happy and grateful to Their Majesties for this opportunity. I truly had lost hope in ever doing business in this event because in the past two years, I made a loss and found myself with stock that I could not sell even after the event. This time around, people are here and the tourists will also show up and are supporting our business,” she said.

Nozipho Nkambule concurred with Maphanga. She said she was also impressed by the number of people who showed up for the event.

Nkambule said she was looking to make enough money to last through the upcoming festival season.

She said although she could not reveal the amount of profit she had made, she was looking to make much better than what she made the previous years.

Nkambule further said such opportunities helped them as vendors to make more money than they usually did and that her anticipated take home was E20 000.
