MBABANE – His Majesty King Mswati III yesterday received letters of credence from the Ambassador Designate of Sweden, H.E Mette Matilda Sunnergren, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to Eswatini, H.E Alexis Bukuru, at Lozitha Palace – according Government’s official social media channel.
Welcoming the Ambassadors, His Majest the King said, “We cherish the cordial relations that exist between our friendly states and believe that our cooperation will grow from strength to strength even in years to come.”
H.E Mette Matilda Sunnergren, Ambassador Designate of Sweden echoed His Majesty’s sentiments. She said, “The Kingdom of Eswatini is well known in my country for its beautiful sceneries, preserved wildlife and for maintaining its strong cultural heritage. I assure you, Your Majesty, that I will continue the work of my predecessors to promote knowledge and interest in Sweden for your Kingdom.
H.E Alexis Bukuru, Ambassador of Burundi also expressed his country’s commitment to the diplomatic relations. “The Republic of Burundi is committed to strengthening its partnership with the African continent, and our relationship with Eswatini is part of that commitment.”
