YOUNG BUFFALOES LADIES LEAVE FOR CAF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

MBABANE – Minister of Sports Harries Bulunga says Government will continue to prioritise the development of women’s sport in Eswatini. According Government’s official statement on social media, Minister Bulunga was speaking at a farewell function for Young Buffaloes Ladies who will be taking part in the CAF Women’s Champions League, COSAFA Zone in South Africa from 6 to 14 August.

“World over, we are witnessing the immense growth of women’s football as exemplified by the recent success of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco. As Eswatini, we cannot, therefore, afford to be left behind in this revolutionary growth of the women’s game,” Minister Bulunga as represented by Director of Sports Lucky Sihlongonyane.

Minister Bulunga added that, “His Majesty’s Government remains committed to supporting the growth of women’s football and, all of women’s sport in the Kingdom. Indeed, women participation in sport is one of our key focus areas and we affirm our commitment to continuing to work together with the EFA, EWFA and all stakeholders to move women’s football forward in our beautiful Kingdom.”
