In his role as an ambassador, Mdura is the project’s face, and he advocates for healthy and traditional eating. His role seeks to encourage people, mostly the youth to consume vegetables religiously.

“We all know how we as the youth overlook healthy eating and shy away from vegetables. I’m here to change that because I’m and will continue to aggressively advocate vegetable eating,” said the comedian.

He went on to explain that the vegetable brand gig came at a time when he was dedicating his craft to good things.

“I think I’m the perfect fit for this because I have a connection to the youth and what a better way to drive the message across than to use a comedian,” he said.

Mdura has graced a number of stages both local and international, he has also done influencing gigs for local companies like MTN, Standard Bank and Sibebe among others.

He is also popular for his unwinding comedy shows, held every Thursday night at Lounge 23:28. He is known to pack a crowd and keep them laughing all night.

Mdura was also among the first batch of comedians to perform scripted stints on social media. He did this under the name ‘Anti’ where he would eloquently reenact scenarios from home, while dressed as a typical aunt. He has also shared the stage with South African comedians like Sifiso Nene, Trevor Gumbi, Thenjiwe and Celeste Ntuli among others.
