MBABANE – The Minister of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Savannah Maziya was this morning sworn in as a Cabinet Minister.
The swearing in ceremony took place at cabinet offices.
This comes after she missed the official swearing in of the current Cabinet Ministers, which took place on November 14, 2023.
Attorney General Sifiso Mashampu Khumalo announced then that Maziya would be sworn-in on this date following that she was out of the country for other important commitment.
Hitting the ground running, Minister Maziya also met with Ministry’s staff for introduction.
Maziya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the United States of America and an MBA from the United Kingdom.
She is also a Group CEO of the Bunengi Group based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
During her submissions before their Majesties recently, she said the government of Eswatini should teach emaSwati to employ rather than being employed.
“We should instill the mentality that we can still be a leading country regardless of being small in quantity, because leading is a state of mind. We should just believe that we can and work together,” she said.
