MBABANE – The Legal Aid South Africa is hosting a delegation from Eswatini under the Ministry of Justice.
This was revealed by Legal Aid South Africa’s communication team, where they mentioned that the delegation from Eswatini will be with them for two days.
Legal Aid South Africa provides professional legal advice and representation to those who cannot afford it. They try to help as many people as possible, including vulnerable groups such as women, children, the elderly, disabled and the rural poor.
A communications team from the Legal Aid shared that the workshop sought to help Eswatini develop their own legal aid system.
“A delegation from Eswatini is with us for two days for benchmarking as they develop their own legal aid system. Such exchanges further access to justice regionally; a critical area of focus for us.
“We are an independent statutory body established by the Legal Aid SA Act 2014 to offer legal aid,” said the communications team.
A lawyer who is part of the delegation in his capacity as a legal advisor, Muzi Dlamini, said the two days , which end today are expected to enrich them legally. “This trip is expected to yield good results, as we have a lot to learn from other legal frame works. We will also have a whole day workshop back at home where we will impact everything we have learnt,” said Muzi Dlamini.
