MBABANE- US Ambassador, Earl Miller inaugurated a new block of three classrooms at Mahlabaneni High School, marking a significant milestone for both the school and the community.
According to the Embassy, the completion of these classrooms was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the U.S. Embassy and the Mahlabaneni community, under the Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Program.
The Embassy added that with a contribution of approximately 137,000 Emalangeni from the U.S. Embassy, and the dedication of the Mahlabaneni community, this incredible facility was constructed.
The partnership between the U.S. government and the community of Mahlabaneni exemplifies their shared commitment to improving the economic and social well-being of the area.
The Embassy also shared that previously, the children of Mahlabaneni had to endure long and tiresome journeys of over 7 kilometres to the nearest high school. The completion of the new classrooms now provides a local solution to this critical need, enhancing educational opportunities for the students and safeguarding their well-being.
The U.S. Embassy applauds the efforts of all those involved in this project and reiterates its commitment to supporting communities like Mahlabaneni in their pursuit of prosperity and well-being. Through such partnerships, positive change can be fostered, and communities can be empowered to create a better future.
