“The nation advised His Majesty to appoint a Prime Minister who is faithful to God and loves the nation,” recounted the secretary.

He mentioned that the people had advised that the Prime Minister should be wise and respectful to the King and the nation. The Sibaya secretary also reported that the people had advised that the constitution be followed in the constitution.

He also mentioned that the people had requested that a woman should be considered for the role of Deputy Prime Minister. He also mentioned that the people had advised that His Majesty consider youth for the same position. He added that another request to change norms was that His Majesty consider appointing a non-Dlamini as a Prime Minister, which would be the first in the Government’s history.

“The people also said that the Prime Minister is not elected, but appointed by His Majesty, and he must be someone who knows how to govern the Tinkhundla system,” added the secretary.

The Sibaya secretary also reported that the people had discussed that the education system in the country should add more knowledge about the Tinkhundla system of governance and vocational skills. He added that the public had strongly advised that the country should double down on developing the country’s agricultural value chain to improve the economy and youth employment.

“The people also requested that the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP) be used to create more jobs and boost the economy, as per His Majesty’s vision,” added the Sibaya Secretary.

The Sibaya secretary also mentioned that the People had requested a Prime Minister who will protect the nation and the people. He also mentioned that corruption had been a major issue in the country. He mentioned that the people had requested that the Obiter Dictum passed by the Chief Justice in 2015 should be reviewed, as it incapacitated the Anti-Corruption Commission.

“The people requested, Your Majesty, that if there is anyone who is engaging in corrupt practises and hiding behind their proximity to you, that they should be disciplined, Your Majesty,” said the Sibaya Secretary, much to everyone’s amusement.

The Sibaya secretary also spoke about a number of issues which the people and panelists had discussed, advised, and requested at the 2023 people’s Parliament. These included tertiary education, land disputes, decentralisation of Government, patriotism, the drugs shortage, Regional Administrators, infrastructure, investors, business financing, banking, the national budget development process, and water development.

His Majesty received the summary report before giving the final remarks to officially close the 2023 Sibaya People’s Parliament.
